Yurara 2011 Christmas Party

 

As usual we enjoyed a good turnout for our 2011 Christmas Party.
The two Vals did a sterling job providing a really scrumptious high tea which was served in the gallery.
Members enjoyed the afternoon immensely.

Around twelve Yurara members visited Logan Artists Association on April 2nd. The morning was very interesting indeed and Logan Artists Assoc. most hospitable.

Yurara members, Mary Kirkby and Barbra Elvin, gave brief presentations about their creative endeavour to Logan members. Mary talked about her marquetry work and Barbra about the influences and inspiration behind her paintings.

The Logan Artists Association’s studio and facilities amazed us all. The organization caters for a wide range of classes: painting, jewellery, pottery and sculpture. They have created a number of specific working areas even a separate shed especially equipped for framing works. All very impressive.
